Eggs are Natures’ Multivitamin
Nutrition experts say that Brits are being seduced by new ‘superfoods’, wrongly believing they are more nutritious than less expensive everyday foods such as eggs.
A recent survey of 2000 adults found that they believed eggs to contain fewer nutritional elements that other fashionable superfoods such as seaweed, almond milk and coconut oil, when in fact he opposite is true!
Eggs are packed full of nutritional benefits including minerals, vitamins as well as being a vital protein source. From the survey only 22% of 18-24 year olds realised that eggs have high levels of ‘good’ fats (omega 3s and/or mono/polyunsaturated fat).
Nutritionists are now saying that Brits may be wasting money on trendy superfoods when in fact the humble egg could provide them with far better nutritional input.
